Welcome to Salsa!

Without an iPad, your Salsa won’t do much (other than look really, really pretty). We like function with our form, so let’s get your iPad installed into your gorgeous new Salsa.

Open up Salsa’s custom carrying case to get started. You’ll have everything you need to install an iPad inside, so setting everything up is a snap.

STEP ONE

Unlatch the two latches on each side of the custom carrying case. Lift the cover.

Oooh and ahhh as desired.

STEP TWO

Remove the plastic bag that holds the included screwdrivers. The bag is inside the small round case opening right beside Salsa.

STEP THREE

Lift your Salsa out of the case and lay it faceplate side up on a stable, flat surface. We recommend using the foam from your case to create a stable, but cushioned, surface to protect Salsa from any scratching or dinging.

STEP FOUR

We included a Phillips #2 screwdriver so that you can get straight to work on this next step. Unscrew the four screws - there are two at each end of the faceplate.

STEP FIVE

Lift the grey iPad frame out and place it safely on the side. We’ll get back to this later.

STEP SIX

There’s a black charging cable that comes with your Salsa - find it? Good. Plug it in like Glade into the port at the bottom edge of Salsa.

STEP SEVEN

Place your iPad into Salsa so that the iPad completely covers the fan and black rectangle. Take the other end of the charging cable from step six and plug it in, plug it in to your iPad.

STEP EIGHT

Take the faceplate you so carefully laid aside in step five and center its opening over your iPad. Make sure that it is oriented properly! You will need a faceplate that matches the generation of iPad you are using, and the placement varies for each. For Second Generation iPad Pros, be sure to leave the large hole for the camera. There is a small hole for you to access the home button at the bottom.

STEP NINE

Screw the four screws back into the faceplate, securing it to its place in Salsa and in your heart forever.

You’re done! We hope the only sweat you broke was over how spicy Salsa looks with that iPad installed.

Now it's time to get Salsa assembled. For a full walkthrough, click here.
