So you may have noticed your printer cutter not working. Following the steps below should be a quick process to bring 2 x 6 printing back to your printer! We will need to download the driver for your printer. You can use the following link to download the driver:

Once you have completed the download, create a new folder on your desktop you can unzip the download to.

Next, we will need to remove the printer in windows. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and tap "All Settings". You should have a list on the left side of this window that lists "Printers & Scanners" - once in this screen tap on your DNP 620A and tap "Remove device". Repeat this if there are any copies of your printer.

After that, we will need to restart the spooler service. This is a Windows service that allows helps the system queue up items to print. To restart this process you will need to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the Windows taskbar. Once this is open, long-tap on an empty area on the bar and select "Task Manager".

This will bring up a window that allows you to see all programs running as well as monitor various processes in your computer. You should see numerous tabs labeled "Processes", "Performance", ... and "Services". If these tabs are not visible you may need to tap on the chevron button titled "More Details".

Within the Services tab, tap on the "Description" column header to sort by description then scroll to the "Print Spooler" service. Once you have located this, long-tap and select "STOP". This service starts with Windows itself so do not select "Restart" here.

We should now have a system with no detected DNP620A and no print jobs. We can now install the driver!

Open the folder you unzipped the driver to earlier. From here, open the folder titled "10" and double tap on "DriverInstall.CMD" (it may not show the '.CMD' portion depending on your system's settings). The program will now install the driver package on your system. If you are prompted with a security warning, be sure to allow the program to run by hitting "Yes".

Once the driver has finished installing, restart your system. As Windows reboots, your system will re-start its spooler and re-detect your printer using the newly installed driver.

At this point, you can test the system and check the function of the printer!
